For the decoration of safari dresses, military-style jackets and classic trench coats, such small details as shoulder straps, loops, stitches, braces, and tied belts are often used.
Some of these details have a functional military past. For example, the first epaulettes appeared at the beginning of the 18th century and consisted of belt loops and had exclusively practical use - holding cartridge bags. The pagons were located at the level of the shoulder line.
But today this historical detail is of practical importance, silk shawls and stoles are threaded through shoulder straps so that they do not fly off your shoulders. In all other cases, epaulettes are exclusively decorative, style-forming in nature.
A loop is called a loop in the form of a narrow strip on the belt through which the belt is passed. At the same time, the sling does not fix the belt motionless, but only holds it in a certain position.
The initial purpose of the belt is to maintain clothing, as well as fixation of smelling models. Along with its main function, the belt performs a decorative role - it emphasizes the waist line or accentuates the hips.
