Today's heroine of our column, Idaa, lives in Japan in Saitama Prefecture. She has a child and a husband. It was after the wedding, in 2015, Idaa, passionate about embroidery, decided to leave the main work. Being charmed by the creation of miniature works by herself, Idaa came up with her small brand of hand-embroidered mini jewelry, giving it the name Branche (in French, a branch, a twig). Now Idaa sells works via the Internet, participates in needlework and design festivals and exhibitions and has received several awards.

Idaa makes small and very small embroidered pendants and brooches that look more like badges. According to her, she loves animals very much and therefore embroiders them most often. These portraits are somewhat naturalistic and somewhat conventional, reminiscent of cartoon characters, charming and pretty. “All the work was done with attention and using the possibilities of the subtle art of hand embroidery; machine embroidery cannot be expressed,” says Idaa.
