How to make your diet as healthy as possible? You can join the Meatless Monday movement - "Monday without meat" - and include in the menu plenty of salads from organic farm products.
Both the body and nature will be grateful for this. Should animal products be completely excluded from the menu? Professor Colin Campbell recommends not to dwell on this issue: "If a delicious vegetable soup is cooked on chicken broth or in a loaf of whole-grain bread contains several eggs, do not worry. In such quantities, these products most likely do not have a strong effect on the body." Nevertheless, the professor advises not to specifically include meat in the diet. For many, the idea of abandoning beef, chicken, cheese, milk seems unrealistic. But it’s worth trying a diet for only a month to see if it’s easier than it sounds. You can also:● Feel better. Within a month, most people begin to feel more cheerful and lose 3 to 5 extra pounds;
● try a lot of new useful and tasty products and dishes from them that you would never have tried otherwise.
What surprises can await at the very beginning of the diet? Why be prepared?
● In the early days, the digestive system adapts to change.Therefore, minor disorders are likely. There are no reasons for concern - soon everything will work out. But the beginning of the diet
it’s better to coincide, for example, with a relaxing home weekend.
● You need to learn new dishes, try unusual ingredients, listen to unfamiliar taste sensations. It will take time to get used to them and understand what new products really like.
● You’ll have to stop thinking that without meat it’s not food (even if the plate is full). It's a delusion.
● You may not be able to go to the usual cafes and restaurants, as there are no vegetarian dishes on their menu, and there will be nothing to order. But you will find new ones.
● Some friends and family are probably alarmed by the desire to become a vegetarian. You can reassure them by saying that this is only an experiment and only for a month.
● In the long run, plant foods are cheaper than animals. But at first, you may have to spend a little more than usual - this is normal, but you have to try a lot of new things.
● Eat enough, do not starve!
● Make sure your food is varied. This is important for obtaining all the necessary nutrients, and to maintain interest in the diet.
